Hey, I just wanted to ask you something about the end of chapter 30, when Bambi was asking herself what her standpoint to Kira is. The option about Bambi being in favor in favor of Kira is pretty straight forward, but I wanted to clarify the other two. The option about Bambi speaking up against Kira's death penalty, does it mean that Bambi is on Kira's side or does her loyalty stay with the task force and is simply against the execution itself? And as for the one where Bambi keeps her opinion to herself, is she being neutral or will she secretly sympathize with Kira and maybe defect to his side? Hehe, I'm sorry for posting such a long question, I was just wondering about it XD
There's a bunch of different reasons you can take for any of them. You can outwardly agree to Kira's death either in truth or for brownie points with L since he suspected you and whatnot. You can keep your silence if you disagree with L but don't think he'll care to listen, if you're unsure which side you're on, if you agree but think it's pointless to say it, if you actually agree with Kira and don't want to cause a scene, etc. You can speak out against it because you oppose the death penalty in general, because you're actually on Kira's side, because you fear what consequences Kira's death could hold, etc. For all three, you can really be pro-Kira, against Kira, or somewhere in the middle.
